Water winner
Congratulations to Mrs Coe of Harlow who will be saving water without even thinking about it with her new AEG water efficient washing machine from Three Valleys Water, which she won for completing a home water audit to see how much water she uses in the home and garden.
“The free prize draw was open to all customers and we had thousands of entries which will provide us with a really useful insight in to the trends of our customers water use” said Mike Pocock, Water Resources Manager.
“With the introduction of the likes of dishwashers and power showers over the last thirty years, our customers water consumption has almost doubled, so to capture this kind of information allows us to see how people are using water and will help us to plan for the long term” he added.
“It was a real surprise to hear I had won” said Mrs Coe. “I plan to move home at some stage and wanted to get new appliances, so the washing machine has come at a great time” she added on receiving the water efficient washing machine.
Three Valleys Water customers are invited to view and comment on the Three Valleys Water Drought Management Plan and Strategic Direction Statement for the next 25 years by logging on to www.3valleys.co.uk in April 2008.
