Making 'Headway' with Three Valleys Water
Members of Headway North West London, the support group for brain injury survivors had a fun and informative day at the Three Valleys Water Environment and Education Centre at Clay Lane Bushey this week.
The group carried out some water-based experiments and were amazed by seeing the details of water’s long journey from its source to our taps. They also took part in the “Lunch Box Challenge” where everyone was encouraged to think about and minimise the amount of waste generated from their packed lunches. They hope to improve on the results of this challenge!
Frances Clegg, (group leader) said: “We all had a marvellous time and we will be putting some of the water saving and lunchbox waste saving tips into practise during our weekly meetings”
“I would like to thank the Education Team at Three Valleys Water as we are actively encouraging partnership with local organisations to raise awareness of the effects of brain injury. We also aim to help our members participate in practical and educational events which provide them with information as well as mental stimulation and enjoyment”
Headway North West London is a voluntary organisation, affiliated to Headway UK - the brain injury association, and provides support, information and services for brain injury survivors, families, carers and interested professionals from the five London boroughs of Harrow, Hillingdon, Brent, Barnet and Ealing, and from the Watford area.
