Three Valleys Water helps Children in Need
Staff at Three Valleys Water’s Call Centre in Hatfield will be joined by friends, family and colleagues from throughout the business on the evening of Friday, November 16 when they will once again be manning calls for the annual Children in Need telethon.
This is the fifth year that Three Valleys Water has volunteered its services for the appeal and the Company is hoping to raise even more than the £105,909 generously donated by the people of Herts, Beds and Bucks in 2006.
The Three Valleys Water volunteers will be taking calls from people who want to pledge money from 7pm until midnight on 16 November.
Customer Call Centre Manager, Gill Burnett, said: “We are going to pull out all the stops on the day to make sure we ourselves raise as much as we can before we start taking the calls at 7pm. Throughout the day staff will be dressing down – or up – anything that we can do to raise a smile and some cash.”
Andy Smith, Managing Director of Three Valleys Water, said: “There has been a great response by our staff to the BBC’s request for help and the Company is pleased to be able to support the event by providing a call answering facility. We’d like to reassure our customers that our Customer Call Centre will be operating as normal alongside the Children in Need telethon. Whilst our Call Centre night staff will be supporting their colleagues in spirit, they will be dealing with customer calls as usual on November 16.”
In addition to taking calls for Children in Need, staff at Three Valleys Water have also organised a number of fundraising events on the day, including an Auction of Promises and Guess the Number of Balloons in a Mini!
“We always enjoy the Children in Need appeal,” said Gill Burnett. “It’s great to be able to get creative and have some fun and to know that the money we raise is going to a very worthwhile cause.”
