Two Waters Primary School get Water Wise

Are you water wise? Year 5 pupils from Two Waters Primary School, Hemel Hempstead were able to answer this question after they visited the Environment and Education centre at Three Valleys Water recently.

Over 25 children took part in an education day with Three Valleys Water to learn more about the amount of water they use and how they can get into water-friendly habits, as well as learning more about wildlife in rivers.

“During the day, the pupils carried out a number of water-based experiments and learned about the journey of water from its source to the customer’s tap and examined the water cycle. It is part of our efforts to promote water efficiency in its widest sense,” said Ted Casey, Education Services Manager at Three Valleys Water.

Class teacher, Mrs Croker said: “We actively encourage the children to take responsibility for looking after the environment and we welcome the opportunity to work in partnership with local businesses such as Three Valleys Water to provide a valuable hands-on experience to our pupils.”
