B&Q customer is a water winner
Local man, Martin Crooks walked away a winner as he took home B&Q vouchers simply by filling in and returning a magazine questionnaire.
Three Valleys Water teamed up with Waterwise and leading home improvement retailer B&Q to offer great prizes to customers in a bid to raise awareness about water use.
Martin from Stevenage has won £100 in B&Q vouchers in the monthly draw, presented by Kevin Pinder of B & Q.
He said: “I was at my local B&Q store and picked up the Summer fun magazine, which was full of helpful tips and advice on how to avoid wasting water.
“I saw the competition advertised and decided to enter. All I had to do was fill in a short questionnaire about my own use of water and the next thing I knew my phone was ringing telling me I’d won £100 of B&Q vouchers!”
“I’m planning to spend it on a new bar-b-q so that we can invite some friends around to enjoy it”, said Martin.
The new two-floor B&Q Warehouse opens in Stevenage, London Road on 22 November 2007 so Martin will have plenty to choose from.
Sally Howe said: “We were pleased to be working together with B&Q for the second year and promoting the value of water and why it’s important that we all take care not to waste water and other natural resources. The feedback we receive from the questionnaires is valuable to help us better understand our customers’ water use and habits.”
The free magazine filled with top tips to use water wisely in the garden and around the house this summer was distributed to customers in B&Q stores in the Three Valleys Water region.

Kevin Pinder, Stevenage Old Town Store Manager, B&Q presents a cheque to Martin Crooks.
