What does it mean if there are two addresses at
the top of my bill?
Sometimes the supply address is different
from the billing address. This can be for a variety of reasons, such as bills for landlords, or small
businesses who may have their bills paid by
another location. |
 |
What does 'rateable value' mean?
The term rateable value relates to a system
previously used by local councils to set council
charges. Water companies were also required to use
them for setting water charges. The system used by
local councils was changed during the 1990s when
council tax bands were introduced. However, water
companies are not allowed to use council tax
bands and therefore are still required to use rateable
values unless a meter has been installed. The
rateable value of your property will not change but
each year the unit charge shown in point 1 will
change for both water and sewerage in line will our
annual tariff changes. |
 |
Why do I have two separate charges for my
water use?
Sometimes, depending on the timing of your bill,
your water usage and waste water charges will be
charged on two different rates. This is because our
charges are revised on the 1st April each year. Your
water use and waste water charges before the
1st April will be charged on one basis, the charges
after the 1st April will be charged on another basis. |
 |
If I am moving out before the 31st March do I still
need to pay my bill in full or can I wait for a final bill?
The charges are payable in full if you are moving to
another property within the Three Valleys Water area.
However, your bill can be paid in two halves, on the
1st April and 1st October. You also have the option to
pay monthly. |
 |
Can I have a meter fitted?
You have the option to apply for a meter. Please
complete the meter application form. |
