Can I claim compensation for low-pressure?

Unfortunately you will not be able to claim compensation for poor pressure if the problem is caused by your pipes. You are entitled to a payment if we fail to maintain a minimum water pressure on our mains network. If you are affected by low pressure (below 0.7 bar) on two occasions, each lasting an hour or more and if these happen within 28 days of each other, we will pay you £25 or add this to your account to reduce your bill.

You must make a claim in writing, within three months of the second incident of low pressure. We will only make one payment each year.

Please note that this compensation policy does not apply where the cause of the low pressure is due to emergency or planned maintenance work to our mains network.
