The number of graduates we plan to recruit can vary year on year and is dependent on the needs of the business. Do you require a certain class of degree and specific degree disciplines? Technical graduates are required to achieve or have achieved a minimum 2:1 in one of the following subjects. Engineering (Civil / Mechanical / Chemical) Maths Statistics Environmental Science Chemistry Physics Business graduates are required to achieve or have achieved a minimum 2:1 in Business or a relevant alternative degree. What is the salary package? It is anticipated that starting salaries will be in the region of £21,000. Other benefits include holidays starting at 24 days, rising with service, a good contributory pension scheme, and while you are on the Graduate programme, six monthly performance related pay reviews and a one off bonus of £1,500 after satisfactorily completing your initial 12 months with us. When does the scheme start? It is anticipated the next graduate intake will be during the first week of September 2008 Are there any age restrictions? No. Our Graduate Development Scheme is designed for talented graduates who have the right skills and qualifications that best meet the challenges of our business. There is no age limit and we welcome applications from all age groups. Do you sponsor work permits? No. We are only able to offer places on the Graduate programme to applicants who are eligible to work in the UK and take up permanent employment with the Company. During the recruitment process you will be required to provide original documentation to prove your eligibility. Where will I be based? During your time on the graduate programme you primarily will be based in either our head offices in Hatfield or in Bushey. However graduates are expected to be geographically mobile whilst on the programme and this may include being based at other offices during their placements or travelling across the Three Valleys Water area. I was unsuccessful last year, can I reapply? Yes you are free to re-apply. Do you pay travel expenses during the recruitment process? Yes, reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed after attendance at the Assessment Centre. However please check with HR before making travel arrangements. Mileage will be reimbursed at a rate of 35p a mile.
