Large user tariff customers

Large users consume more than 100,000 cubic metres of water annually and have a metered water supply.

In this section we have set out, in a question and answer format, information about the Large User Tariff.

Q.1 How are Large User Tariff Bills calculated?
If you are on the Large User Tariff your bills will be for your:
1. water supply
2. wastewater removal
If you are on the 'Large User Tariff', your bill will have the following elements:
Water supply services:
1. An annual 'standing charge' for your water supply according to the size of the meter
2. A volumetric charge calculated by multiplying the volume of the water supplied as shown on your meter or estimated by the Company, by a rate per cubic metre.
3. A 'Large User' supplementary fixed charge
Wastewater removal services:
4. A 'standing charge' for your wastewater removal by Thames Water*.
5. A 'variable' charge from Thames Water* for your wastewater removal calculated on the amount of water you use.
6. A 'Large User' supplementary fixed charge.
*We collect charges on behalf of Thames Water.

Q.2 What are the Large User Tariff Charges?
Large User Tariffs may vary according to the amount of water you use. An outline of the charges can be found in our Charges Scheme (PDF 849KB) which you can download from this web site. Or, please contact us on 0845 769 7985, and ask to speak to Janet Judge, to discuss this option further.

We usually make individual arrangements with those on the Large User Tariff.

Q.4 Can I change from the Large User Tariff?
You can change back to paying Standard Meter Charges by giving written notice to us.
You can only opt to go onto the Large User Tariff and cancel this tariff once in any 12 months.
