New Boundary box: what's involved?

1. Inside your building:
Your water meter will be installed where your water supply pipe enters your property; this is usually next to the stop valve.

We always make every effort to minimise any inconvenience.

2. Outside you building:
A water meter can be installed in one of three places outside the building:
In soft ground close to the boundary of your property such as a flowerbed or lawn.
Our technician will remove any soil and replace it afterwards. However, we do ask you to replace any turf or plants disturbed. We take every care but we cannot take responsibility for any damage to them. If asked, we will carry out a full reinstatement of the ground disturbed, though we will need to charge you.
In an existing boundary box
In a new boundary box that we will install in the pavement outside your building.
When we are installing your water meter we will need to interrupt your water supply for a short time. Our technician will knock on your door to let you know what they are doing; they will not need to come into your property, unless we have made an appointment for an internal meter installation.
Other Questions you may have:
Where will it be installed?
Preparation: Will you need to assist in any way?
Two Steps: It's normally a 2-stage process
